Make a Wager Recommendation
tweet window

To make a wager recommendation, you have a few options.

1) Use our simple 'Bet' window. You can find the 'Bet' button along side each game listed in the 'Games' column on the far right side of the homepage. By clicking the 'Bet' button alongside the particular game you're interested in, you'll find our 'Bet' window pop-up. In the 'Bet' window, you can choose to recommend a wager on the money line, the point spread (or run line or puck line depending on the league) and/or the total. We have provided 5 wager sizes - $100, $200, $300, $400 and $500 – and you can select any of those wager sizes for each wager you recommend.

2) Select the 'Advanced' view in your TweetWager profile and use the advanced wager buttons alongside each game in the 'Games' column on the far right hand side of the homepage. In the 'Advanced' view, you'll see 6 buttons – Mf, Fv, Ov, Un, Dg, and Md.

  • Mf= Favorite on the money line
  • Fv= Favorite on the point spread
  • Ov= Total Over
  • Un= Total Under
  • Dg= Underdog on the point spread
  • Md= Underdog on the money line

As you hover your mouse over these 6 wager recommendation buttons, you'll see a tooltip window detailing that wager selection. When you click on a button, your tweet window will automatically be populated with that wager recommendation and it will automatically note a $100 wager. If you'd like to adjust the recommended wager amount, simply adjust the $100 shown in the tweet window to any of the other eligible wager recommendation amounts - $200, $300, $400 or $500.

3) Once you see a few TweetWager recommendations, you'll understand the nomenclature fairly quickly. If you understand the nomenclature, you can tweet your wager recommendation from anywhere you have access to Twitter. To have your recommendation logged on TweetWager, always start the sequence with *BET. After *BET, you'll need to insert a colon, followed by the league, the team nickname, the wager type (either Money, Side, or Total) and then the recommended wager amount (either $100, $200, $300, $400 or $500). So, for instance, if you'd like to recommend a $300 wager on the Red Wings game to go over the posted total, you’d type *BET: NHL Red Wings Over $300.

Find People

To make it easy to navigate through the noise, we've created a page that tracks the best handicappers by league. Click on the 'Find People' button in the top navigation and you'll see the top tweeters by league. We're also assembling a list of Recommended Twitterers so check back often to see who we recommend following. You can also view users profiles by clicking on their name. The user profiles will display their winning percentage, their total money won (or lost), their most recent tweets as well as a snapshot of their followers.

Find Game Details

To see the recommended action on a particular game, we've created detailed game pages for every game listed. To see the details for a particular game, click on the game's View button in the 'Games' column on the far right hand column of the homepage. Alternatively, you can click on any of the wager recommendations listed in the center 'Action' column on the homepage. As wager recommendations are made, that new action will appear in the center 'Action' column. If you click on a particular game listing – like MLB: Braves $400 – you'll see the detail for that game – what twitterers are on what side of the action.
